About the company
Medka Dx is a homegrown Saudi company building AI-assisted diagnostic support for clinicians, with a flagship application in early autism screening. The company won the Healthon Hackathon in 2025.
The solution
The platform applies artificial intelligence to clinical data to support physicians during diagnosis and treatment planning — identifying disease earlier, reducing diagnostic uncertainty and easing the documentation burden that consumes clinical time.
Its flagship module, MEDKA Dx, screens for autism spectrum disorder in children aged 18 to 72 months using caregiver questionnaires, home video analysis, physician input and machine learning. Autism screening in the Kingdom can take weeks to reach an appointment and far longer to reach a diagnosis — during precisely the developmental window in which intervention is most effective. The platform is designed to compress that timeline substantially.
